Cam Hill (she/they) is a multi-disciplinary artist with a strong focus on ceramics, located on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples (Vancouver, BC).

Inspired by trinkets, folklore, and the west coasts natural environment; Cam’s work explores queerness, ancestry, friendship, and “girlhood” through the baby birding of clay, paintings, textiles, and shiny objects.

Cam began hand-building ceramics in their apartment late 2020, discovering the in’s and out’s of how clay moves and breathes through exploration and play. A few years later as their obsession and need for community grew, they opened up Swamp Collective (2022-2024)~ a communal art studio that acted like a watering hole through events, classes, and affordable drop ins. Though Swamp closed its physical doors late 2024 due to demolition, the concept reincarnates at Bahoo Studio as drop in’s and classes return.

Cam is currently enrolled at Capilano University to pursue a Major of Interdisciplinary Studies to combine their love of art, history, teaching, and the environment.
